E-Pigs Screened at 54th Annual London BFI festival

The 54th annual BFI London Film Festival took place October 13-23 at the National Theater, which is known for the finest contemporary international cinema for both established and emerging filmmakers. This year, the festival featured E-Pigs, a short film made in coproduction between Serbia and Slovenia.
Directed by Petar Pasic and co-produced by Doktor Production and the visual effects studio Fried Pictures E-pigs is about the sudden birth of cyber piglets in a village household. The film was screened on October 15 and 18 in the Under Pressure program as the only non-English speaking short film. BFI selector Simon Young was highly impressed:

“E-Pigs is a superb mix of live-action and CGI which grips the audience from start to finish and transports it to a fantastic world reminiscent of Terry Gilliam's creations. The old and the new meet in a bizarre clash of styles and soon as I saw this film at Cannes back in May I knew I'd want it for the BFI-LFF. Prior to seeing the film E-Pigs I was unaware of the high technical quality of Serbian short films - I will definitely look at them more closely in future!”

E-Pigs is already slated for screening at 23 international film festivals in 2010 and the list continues to grow. Following festivals in Cannes, Pusan, Toronto and the U.S., E-Pigs will be screened at festivals in Brisbane, Barcelona and Warsaw in November 2010, where it has been nominated for best script.
