Film and TV Production Accounting Course

The Serbia Film Commission (SFA) partnered with the USAID Competitiveness Project to organize a series of courses on film and television production accounting led by Jane Corden. The course aimed toward professionals in film production and accounting was held on May 6 at the Tourism Organization of Serbia. Two half-day introductory courses on servicing international productions were organized for students at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and Academy of Arts.
Students, professors and professionals discussed how international film producers decide where to shoot a film and what is expected from a local production company. They also talked about the importance of the legal framework, budgeting and accounting software, managing cash flow, payroll and different production accounts, various film production insurances, and how all of these ultimately reflect on local production.

The Serbia Film Commission will continue to provide quality services and skills to its members by organizing similar courses in the future.
