Serbia Film Commission at the 2010 Locations Trade Show in Santa Monica, California

Serbia continues to break new ground as it establishes itself in the film industry. As a newly accredited AFCI member, the Serbia Film Commission will participate in the AFCI Locations Trade Show April 15-17 in Santa Monica, California.
Serbia’s film industry has made formidable progress in 2009. Last fall, three international film productions were shot in Serbia. Ralph Fiennes is currently shooting Coriolanus, his adaptation of the Shakespearean play, in Belgrade. In February 2010, Serbia’s capital was host to the Assembly of Commercials Film Producers of Europe annual event, which showcased the capacity and talent of local production service companies for high-level productions in advertising.
In 2010, Serbia will introduce a 15 – 25% cash rebate system for qualifying productions that spend minimum of €2 million per project in country. A higher percentage will be available for larger projects. New members and partners are lining up to create a camera-ready environment for a range of projects and services.
The Serbia Film Commission will be in Santa Monica from April 12-17 2010 to attend the AFCI Locations Trade Show. If you are interested in partnering with us on a project, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you at your convenience.
