Serbia’s Prime Minister Promises Film Incentives

Belgrade, September 17 – As a part of its regular networking events with key government decision-makers, the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia organized a luncheon with Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic to discuss current economic issues. Prime Minister Cvetkovic noted that the government is close to reaching consensus on the adoption of the Decree on Film Incentives and is now working to include this in the budget. He stated that the Decree will become official either by late October if the incentive is included in the budget revision for this year, or by the end of the year if the incentive is included in the 2011 budget year.

The Serbia Film Commission actively participated in drafting the film incentives proposal for the Serbian government in September 2009.
