Cinelabs Belgrade is a front-end film laboratory that provides wide range of specialized services to film markets. The facility commenced operation on July 2007 and represents a unique facility of this kind in Serbia. Cinelabs Belgrade was technically configured to meet the needs of both domestic and international production and offers a one-stop solution for filmmakers.

Services and capacity

Cinelabs Belgrade offers latest techology color negative film processing and other lab services as well as post-production services for all types of production including feature films, television commercials, television drama, animation and documentaries. The laboratory uses Kodak kit chemicals and observes the strictest quality controls, as determined by Kodak. The experienced staff of Cinelabs Belgrade guarantee the best possible image quality and the highest level of customer service.

Services include:

• Color negative film processing 35 mm/16mm
The laboratory offers the latest technology negative processing using Kodak kit chemistry. Solutions are prepared by computerized automatic mixing system which insures the ideal chemical environment. Sensitometric and densitometric control, using newest generation of densitometer and software, ensure permanent control of the process.

Also, the lab is in constant cooperation with experts from Kodak which are monitoring the process and advising the lab staff in order to keep the highest possible quality and to prepare the lab for entering the Image Care program soon. The laboratory offers: normal developing of 35 and 16mm, push and pull developing, as well as bleach by pass.

• Ultrasonic film cleaning
Ultrasonic film cleaning provides accurate and safe cleaning of both newly processed films as well as extremely valuable archive films, ready for restoration.
• Negative control
• Negative preparation for transfer to video
• Film to video transfer / dailies
• Print copies - in cooperation with Kodak Cinelabs laboratories
• Colour correction / special effect/ compositing, 2D and 3D
• Transfer to 35 mm and digital blow up from 16/S16 to 35mm
• Digital projection
• In the lab’s DI rooms you can do the control of your project before transfer to 35mm. Big screen and high resolution projection with professional Dolby digital surround system will give special impression of your film project.
• Restoration
• Digital intermediate process

Cinelabs has worked on a number of successful feature films, including Hitna Pomoc Serbian Scars and The Tour, directed by renowned Serbian director Goran Markovic.
Apart from feature films, Cinelabs was worked on a number of commercials and music videos.
