Gargantua Films was founded as a production company dedicated to supporting young talented filmmakers from the Balkans and to promoting contemporary Serbian art and culture. The company’s aim is to gather young authors, professionals and producers from the region and greater Europe in order to create a new and unique image of Balkan and European film.
Gargantua Films was founded by several members of the team who produced Charleston and Vendetta (Tears for Sale), the most expensive film made in Serbia and the world sales rights owned by Luc Beson’s EuropaCorp. Marko Paljic, the owner of Gargantua Films, was the Executive Producer of the film. Over the past ten years, he has collaborated with MTV, EuropaCorp, Wild Bunch, Miramax, Canal Plus and Sony Classics on all aspects of film production, distibution, PR and marketing.
Gargantua Films is currently involved in three high quality projects, including Blondie: Sketch for a Portrait of Radivoj Korac, TurboDiesel, and Blood Feud.
Gargantua Films will continue to pursue collaboration with cutting edge industry talent in order to create internationally relevant productions.
