Serbia’s film studios offer a range of support and logistics services, standard as well as less commonly used equipment. Two sound stages, located in close proximity to Belgrade with easy access to major hotels, restaurants and airport feature office space, parking, back-lot and workshops. Wide specter of smaller studios and warehouse space can be used for shooting purposes across the country.
Pink Film International, the privately owned Serbian firm has recently built a modern film studio complex featuring nine state of the art studios and 12-hectare lot. The complex offers complete production and production support services for film, television, commercial and music video productions.
Established in 1945 and built as a replica of the Cinecittà studios in Rome, Avala Film is Serbia’s oldest film studio. Since its establishment, the studio has produced more than 400 documentaries, and over 200 domestic and 120 international productions. Though the state-owned studio is still in good working condition, the complex requires renovation and is expected to be privatized in 2009.
