The monastery was destroyed by Turks, but the monks build it again, but it was burned to the ground one more time during Rakocije’s insurrection. The present church was built in 17th century by wealthy Mihajlo Temišvarlija from Segedin. The big residential building and the church in Bođani were built in Baroque manner. In monastery are preserved numerous objects transferred from Manasija monastery. Beauty of this monastery is also mirrored in the front yard which is full of flowers and trees. Nowadays this is a male monastery.
