Main square is a central part of Smederevo. It has a triangular form like the famous Smederevo Fortress. Square is dominated by the Temple of th Holy Great Martyr George and there is a monument to fallen soldiers in World War II, the Gallery of Modern Art and the famous fountain, as a meeting place, rest and entertainment of old and young people. Popular pedestrian King Peter the First street leads directly to the Square.
