That historic building, located in the Kalemegdan park, was built in 1928. As the biggest gallery space in Belgrade, it frequently hosts significant retrospectives and annual fine arts events. The symmetrical design of the floor plan and the front facade, with stylized Ionian columns and broad access stairs indicate academic models. A striking detail of the interior is the fresco with allegories of different arts on the ceiling of the vestibule and the stained-glass window with the representation of Art above the main entrance.
