Thanks to its exceptionally favorable geographic position, the mighty river on its southern border, the vast forests, fertile land and gentle landscape, the territory of the Municipality of Pećinci has been inhabited from the earliest times of human history by skillful fishermen and hunters, hard-working farmers as well as strong and brave warriors. In the south the municipality is hemmed by the wide river Sava, to the north begin the hilly slopes of mountain Fruška Gora and between the two lies fertile land.
