A nature reserve of the first degree of protection – Jankove bare is located in the area of Ravni Kopaonik in the valley of the Rečica stream at about 1420 m above sea level. The greatest value of this complex reserve are tresava communities – sensitive and rare ecosystems, with endemic plant species protected as natural rarities, as well as amphibians and birds, among which the peregrine falcon, buzzard and mountain redcap stand out.
