Rgotsko Lake is located near the village of Rgotina, 11 kilometers away from Zaječar. The lake covers around 30 hectares, and the depth reaches up to 14 meters. It was created at the site of quartz sand exploitation for a nearby mine. It has no tributary, and is supplied with water from underground sources, whose abundance does not weaken even during the greatest drought. Since the bottom is mostly sandy, the water is very clean and in the summer it is a favorite swimming place of people from Zaječar. Although it has fish, it is not interesting as fishing water, but it is definitely worth visiting it.
