Stara Palanka (Old Palanka) is the Serbian village located in south-east part of Serbian Banat, near border with Romania. It is a part of Banatska Palanka as a separate settlement. It is situated at the mouth of river Nera into Danube. At the beginning of the 19th century it was important Danube port. Here is crossroad between Bela Crkva – Kovin and Stara Palanka – Ram. It also possess a ferry-boat which is the shortest way of traveling from this part of Vojvodina to Pozarevac and Central Serbia.
